Sectoral Solutions: Industry, Services, Tourism and Creative Sectors

Sector-oriented studies will be carried out to analyze the current economic structure and diversity of Istanbul and develop future forecasts. Impact of these sectors on urban economics, employment structure, spatial use and change trends will be discussed. In the industrial sector, the removal of pollutant industries from the city centers and their control, support of high value-added sectors, planned and regular spatial arrangements for the small industry will be investigated. While targeting to increase the quality standards in the services sector, strategies and actions will be developed to support a tourism that is based on the realities of 2050, sustainable and appropriate for Istanbul's urban carrying capacity and a non-mass tourism. The creative sectors will be studied in order to develop as one of the main determinants of Istanbul's future vision.
