The purpose of this Information Note is to inform you regarding processing of your personal data that we obtain through the website, vizyon2050.istanbul (“Website”), in line with Article 10 of the Law on Protection of Personal Data (“Law”).
1. Collecting, Processing and Purposes of Processing of Personal Data
The data collected through your browsing of the Website, such as IP information, access logs, and contact information such as name, last name, phone number and e-mail address that are obtained through your participation in surveys on the Website, may be processed upon your approval and when needed to allow you to visit the Website, participate in surveys on the Website and use other services and opportunities provided by the Website and execution of legal and contractual liabilities by the Company under the conditions that are identified in Article 5 of the Law.
2. To Whom and For Which Purposes Processed Data Will Be Transferred
The collected personal data may be transferred to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (“IMM”), its subsidiaries, our suppliers, business partners, public and private institutions and organizations authorized by the law, that are located within Turkey, in order to allow you to visit our Website, participate in surveys on the Website, use other services and opportunities provided by the Website and execution of legal and contractual liabilities by the Company under the conditions that are identified under Article 8 of the Law.
In addition, your personal data may be transferred to servers within Turkey.
3. The Method and Legal Cause of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data may be collected in electronic environment when you visit the Website, participate in surveys on the Website and use other services provided by the Website. The data collected in this manner, is processed in accordance with the purposes stated above, upon your approval and based on the following legal causes stated in Article 5 of the Law: cases where processing of personal data is obligatory for establishment/exercise of a right, cases where processing of personal data is obligatory for performance of legal and contractual liabilities and legitimate interest of data controller, when deemed necessary.
4. Data Security
Our Company protects your personal data against possible risks at an appropriate level, in full compliance with reasonable technical and administrative security measures that are required as per data protection standards and procedures.
5. Rights of the Data Subject under Article 11 of the Law
In case you submit your requests regarding your rights to our Company as data subjects in line with the legislation, our Company will respond to such request within maximum 30 days, depending on the nature of your request and free of charge. If the written response to your request exceeds 10 pages, a transaction fee amounting to 1 Turkish Lira per page exceeding 10 pages may be charged. In case the response is recorded onto a medium like a CD or flash drive, the cost of the medium may be charged as fee.
In this regard, data subjects have the following rights:
- To learn whether personal data is processed,
- If personal data is processed, to request information regarding processing,
- To request information on the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with this purpose,
- To learn about the third parties with which personal data is shared at domestic and international level,
- To request correction, if personal data is processed in a wrong or deficient way and request transfer of information regarding the operation conducted for such purpose to the relevant third parties to which the personal data is transferred,
- To request deletion or destruction of personal data due to removal of the conditions requiring processing of data, despite that the personal data has been processed in line with the provisions of the Law and other relevant law, and to request that information regarding the operation conducted for such purpose is transferred to third parties to which personal data is transferred,
- To object to unfavorable results that may arise by analyzing of processed data exclusively by automatic systems,
- To request compensation of damages, if data subject has incurred any damage due to unlawful processing of personal data.
